A simple, yet comprehensive
introduction
to me:

I help create communication strategies for
DDG in Taipei, Taiwan. My background in advertising, branding, and design for international companies in the U.S., combined with over 8 years of experience in Asia, is what guides my recommendations for aspiring brands in Taiwan and greater China.

I'm passionate about sociology; human relationships, culture, and decision making. These are the topics that I read about, take courses on, and generally enjoy having conversations about—both with brands
and people.

I speak basic Chinese. It's not perfect, but I'm able to sit in client meetings and have simple conversations without too much pain and suffering.

I have permanent resident status in Taiwan—basically Taiwan's version of a green card.  This means I'm free to travel in and out of the country at will, and work without restrictions.

Between 2010 and 2014 I helped develop a digital marketing strategy for getchee in Taipei, Taiwan. In the process I led the creation of engaging video content, compelling infographics, and updated their website and social media to drive leads.

In 2010 I worked with WorldShare in Taipei on projects for BenQ and AUO.

In 2009 I left the world of advertising and spent a year traveling throughout India, South East Asia, China and Taiwan.
This experience had a huge impact on my
perspective and work.

Before that, I worked as a Creative Director for Aisle Rocket Studios in the U.S., where I did award winning branding and design work for Whirlpool Corporation, Gladiator GarageWorks, Amana, and more.


What is my personality?

I'm straightforward, honest, and authentic. 
I get excited about new things. I'm positive and fun, but serious about what I do and the ideas that I have. But I also try not to take things too seriously. I hate following rules. 

I’m a Leo.
I’m a snake.
They say I'm an ENTP. 

(but I think I'm more ENFP )


What are my interests?

I started practicing yoga sometime around 2008. In 2011 I started taking my practice more seriously and focused on Ghosh linage yoga. Besides improving my posture, health and attitude, it's introduced me to mindfulness and meditation–both positively impacting my work and relationships. I've also started doing a lot of AcroYoga as well. You can see me in action on instagram - #李悟yoga

In 2017 I helped launch Taiwan's first yoga festival. Oceansound Yoga Festival. It was a challenging yet amazing experience that we plan to keep working on. Get your tickets now!

I drink a lot of green tea; maybe too much.

I enjoy riding my fixie bicycle around the city, and listening to techno and experimental electronic music.

I want to help eliminate plastic waste, so I avoid purchasing plastic bottled beverages or using straws. I recently took the
"No Plastic Straw Pledge" and am proud to say I stick to it.

I was the first non-Taiwanese person in the world to purchase the new Gogoro Smartscooter—some say it's the Tesla of scooters—and wrote this article explaining why. You can check out photos of me and my Gogoro via my Instagram.

I enjoy photography and usually have multiple ongoing projects.
